The Foundation of GMDA
With over 35 years of expertise in civil engineering and property valuation, Mr. Govindarajan Mohandas is the founder and head of G. Mohandas & Associates one of Chennai's trusted names in real estate valuation and consultancy. A licensed Government Registered Valuer and Chartered Engineer (India), he brings international experience from working with leading firms in Singapore including Neo Corporation Pte Ltd and Pan Indo Architects International.
Mr. Mohandas holds a Master's degree in Real Estate Valuation from Annamalai University and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering. His professional journey includes managing large-scale projects such as 30-storey condominiums, coordinating ISO 9000 & ISO 14000 certifications, and valuing premium commercial properties including five-star hotels.
He is a Fellow member of the Institution of Valuers and Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), with leadership roles in professional bodies such as the Institution of Valuers, Chennai Branch. An advocate for transparency, innovation, and continuous improvement, his vision is to integrate technology like GPS and online client coordination into the appraisal process while promoting sustainability through green building evaluations.
